Brand recognition can be defined as the extent to which a consumer can correctly identify a particular product or service just by viewing the product or service’s logo, tag line, packaging or advertising campaign. This is a pretty incredible asset that every business should come to understand and do whatever they can to strengthen theirs. Think about it for a moment. If you had your logo in some form of an advertisement, would the person looking at it be able to relate it back to you?
Perhaps this is the first time that you have really thought about your brand. Don’t worry you are not alone. I have come across some small business owners that think that this is just a concern of large companies that market to national or even international audiences. This could not be further from the truth. Even on a very small scale, a strong relationship between your company’s brand and your target market, could very well take your business to the next level.
Here are a few things that you should take very seriously as you prepare your business for the upcoming year. First of all, take a good look at your company. I mean really look at as if you were a customer. Now ask yourself a few questions. Is the level of professionalism that you want for your business coming through? Do the colors in your logo catch your eye and make you feel like could trust this company in providing you with what ever it is that your looking for? If not, these are a few things that I would strongly consider improving.
Once you are happy with the way your logo looks and feels, promotional products are a great vehicle to launch your new image to your target markets. Get out to an event or expo that your customers would attend and get them to interact with your brand. They will see your banners and displays and how professional they look. Plus they will gladly except the awesome promotional items that you are giving to them. What better way to strengthen your brand recognition than literally put your brand in your target markets hands and have a pleasant conversation with them. Sometimes its the subtle things that really leave the deepest of impacts.
